NYC, 1982.

My best friend, Laury Marker, and I are both waitresses/actors

and looking for our "big break".

(This predates YouTube and all that came after.)

So what could we do but write ourselves a play?

My Heart Belongs to Daddy is that play: funny and raunchy and

- hopefully -

makes you cry in the end.

This play is a story about best friends, fathers and daughters and our struggle to

reconcile who we (the daughters) are in relation to them

(our fathers).

Oh! And quite a few dates.
